181218-N-VS214-0106 MIAMI (December 18, 2018) Students from the secondary school, Terra Environmental Research Institute, are visited by the Navy’s mobile virtual reality asset “Nimitz.” During the experience, they get to speak to Navy recruiters from all over Navy Recruiting District, Miami about the opportunities available to them if they pursue a Navy career. The Nimitz asset along with 55 Recruiters from Navy Recruiting Command, Navy Recruiting Leadership Academy, Navy Recruiting District Miami and selected Recruiters of the Year, compile a “Swarming Team,” which is a new recruiting strategy in support of the national policy to build a 355-ship Navy.
