190206-N-SA412-0594 PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 6, 2019) - Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) prepare to board an MV-22 Osprey aircraft attached to the "Flying Tigers" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced), on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) drill. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st MEU, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
