OKINAWA, Japan (Apr. 5, 2019) — Lt. Gen. Kevin Schneider, Commander, U.S. Forces Japan, and Commander, 5th Air Force, tours a P-8A Poseidon during a static display with Patrol Squadron (VP) 47. The "Golden Swordsmen" of VP-47 are currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within U.S. 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
