191210-N-QR336-1203 NARRA, Palawan (Dec. 10, 2019) Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Zachary Bartels, from Joliette, Illinois, and Builder Constructionman Brandon Williams, from Blue Point, New York, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Palawan, guide the concrete chute for a concrete pour for the new two room schoolhouse at Malatgao Elementary School. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
