Summary
In 1926 WILPF were instrumental in organising a nationwide peace pilgrimage. In May 1926, seven different groups from all corners of Britain set out towards London spreading the word of peace in the towns they passed through. On reaching London a procession of all the marchers occurred with each of the seven groups being led by a woman on a white horse, as can be seen in this picture.
