1st Lt. Christian Mallamo, a KC-130J Hercules pilot with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252, points out the squadron’s aircraft to visiting second and fifth-grade students on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Sept. 26. Twenty-eight students from St. Paul Catholic School in nearby New Bern, N.C., took a field trip to the air station to visit the Hercules squadron and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467. “It’s an awesome experience to walk out here for the first time. Aviation is contagious,” said Mallamo. “I hope they got the bug.”
