description

Summary

In what becomes the "Pathway of Peace," the National Christmas Tree and 56 smaller trees--one for each state, five territories and the District of Columbia--serve as the event focal point. All 57 trees will be lit each evening at dusk until 11:00 p.m. and will be lit each night through January 1st. Sponsoring organizations in each state provide the tree decorations and each decoration is encased in a protective plastic globe to shield it from the weather. (This is the state of Delaware tree.)

Merry Christmas! Christmas photographs are often taken to capture the joy and warmth of the holiday season and to preserve memories of special moments and traditions. Some people like to display their Christmas photographs as part of their holiday decorations, or to share them with friends and family as a way of spreading holiday cheer. Christmas is a time of year that many people associate with happy memories and traditions, so it's not surprising that it can bring about feelings of nostalgia.
