(Sept. 7, 2008) SAN FRANCISCO - Vice Adm. David Pekoske (left), Coast Guard Pacific Area Commander, welcomes Maj. Gen. Chen Weiming, head of Chinese Coast Guard delegation, to the 9th North Pacific Coast Guard Summit, held here from September 8 to 12. The summit is held to foster multi-lateral cooperation on matters related to combined operations, illegal drug trafficking, maritime security, fisheries enforcement, illegal migration, and maritime domain awareness.
