A C-130H Hercules from the 302nd Airlift Wing, Colorado Springs Air Force Reserve, orbits near the Deaton Cole wildfire while waiting to drop fire retardant in Val Verde County, Texas, April 29. The C-130 is equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System which is capable of dispensing 3,000 gallons of water or fire retardant in under 5 seconds. Wildfires have spread across various parts of Texas and have burned more than 1.5 million acres since January.
