Jeanne Montbaston was married to the printer Richard Montbaston. She and her husband ran a printing press in Paris around 1325-1353. Her husband published books and she illustrated them. Their business was famous and one of their most famous works was the Roman de la Rose, published by Richard Montbaston and illuminated by Jeanne Montbaston. She was registered as a professional artisan and took her oath to the Paris Guild in 1353.
