(Jun. 03, 2010) A landing craft air cushion (LCAC) assigned to Beach Master Unit (BMU) 1 based at Naval Air Base Coronado, breaks the surf off Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. as a formation of CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 163 fly overhead during Dawn Blitz 10. The exercise is a series of amphibious operations involving Sailors and Marines to reinvigorate the core competency of amphibious operations and enhance interaction between the Navy and the Marine Corps.
