More than 200 Marines from 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment traveled to Norfolk, Va., to board the USS Kearsarge, April 9-13, 2015, in support of Combined Joint Operational Access Exercise (CJOAX) 15.1. In support of the exercise scenario, Marines simulated being part of a Marine Expeditionary Unit element deployed to conduct a ship to shore assault on Onslow Beach, Camp Lejeune.
