A Marine with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division fires the M1911A1 service pistol as part of a combat marksmanship program on Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 30, 2016. The CMP focuses on combat marksmanship with the M1911A1 service pistol, M4A1 carbine, M249 squad assault weapon and the M240B machine gun.
