A Marine with Charlie Company, Battle Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, holds onto another Combat Rubber Raiding Craft, linking the CRRCs together prior to conducting a beach landing at Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 17, 2019. Charlie Company conducted the beach landings in CRRCS to improve their proficiency in preparation of the 31st MEU’s upcoming deployment of the Indo-Pacific region. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
