A member of the Military Airlift Command's 2nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron comforts an Afghan child aboard a C-141B Starlifter aircraft. The girl is one of 25 Afghan civilians being transported to the US Air Force Regional Medical Center at Weisbaden, West Germany, for specialized medical treatment following injuries incurred as a result of Afghanistan's civil war. The patients will later be evacuated to hospitals in Europe and the United States for donated medical assistance
