PACIFIC OCEAN (Jul. 01, 2009) A midshipman from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force fires an M-240 machine gun from the bridge wing of the guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) during a midshipmen exchange between the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Shiloh hosted Midshipmen from the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force to teach them how the cruiser operates in the forward-deployed environment.
