A military child tries on a helmet with night vision goggles attached on National Bring Your Son and Daughter to Work Day at the New Jersey Air National Guard's 177th Fighter Wing on April 24, 2014, at Atlantic City Air National Guard Base, N.J. The children made cards for deployed 177th Fighter Wing airmen and their children, participated in Air Force history lessons, and got a tour of the base. The event also coincided with the Month of the Military Child, a Department of Defense initiative that focuses on the sacrifices and challenges faced by the children of military members.
