A pilot’s helmet and visors sit on a shelf in the Aircrew Flight Equipment office of the 48th Air Expeditionary Group at Šiauliai Air Base, Lithuania. The AFE shop is responsible for all gear and equipment worn by pilots in flight. During the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission, they provide their expeditionary capabilities to F-15C Eagle pilots who are keeping the sovereignty of the Baltic States secure.
