The celebration kicked off the day before with a 5-kilometer run to mark 2,000 safe flight hours for the ROK aviation contingent. ROK service members offered participants traditional Korean foods served during the Korean autumn festival known as "Chuseok." Events such as these offer contingents from all branches of the service and various foreign services to build cohesion through cultural exchange within military service.
