Summary
A Single Engine Air Tanker SEAT drops a load of fire retardant on a dozer line to prevent the fire from crossing into a residential area. The blaze, which started on June 9, was caused by a lightning strike, has torched more than 65,000 acres to date. The resources brought to bear on this massive wildfire include 41 hand crews, 132 fire engines, five dozers, 23 water tenders and overhead personnel. Air resources include 17 helicopters and four fixed wing aircraft used for fire suppressant.
