A soldier from the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division has his parachute properly fitted and checked out prior to his jump from a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft. This practice jump is in preparation for the joint exercise between the 82nd Airborne Division and troops from central Asia and other countries, including Russia and Turkey. It will combine airborne operations, weapons training, and cultural exchanges in order to strengthen the partnership between all the participants while improving conditions for a successful partnership for peace exercise
