Summary

The ceremony is in memorial of those lost during the Korean War Battle of Kunu-Ri in which the battalion commander, Lt. Col. Alarich Zacherle, instructed his Soldiers the burn the battalion colors to prevent them to become a Chinese war trophy. This patriotic act serves as a reminder of selfless service and sacrifice.
