A soldier with the Afghan National Army’s Cashf Tolai, 4th Kandak, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, hands out humanitarian-assistance supplies like rice, cooking oil, hygiene items, and blankets to Upper Sangin Valley residents after a shura, or meeting, the tolai hosted recently. The unit has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps’ 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in the Upper Sangin Valley, living among the local residents, gathering intelligence information on the enemy, and promoting peace and security in the area.
