A U.S. Marine AAV/P7-A1 assault amphibian vehicles with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, come ashore during Exercise Alexander the Great (ATG) 2019 in Volos, Greece, Jan. 5, 2019. Exercise ATG is a bi-lateral U.S./Greek (Hellenic) exercise designed to increase interoperability between U.S. Marines and Hellenic Naval Infantry forces, with the purpose of exercising platoon-to-battalion-level infantry field and amphibious skills in order to improve readiness and reinforce relationships.
