A U.S. Navy Sailor with Beach Master Unit 2 directs a Logistic Vehicle System Replacement with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit carrying fuel to a staging area during a U.S.-French bilateral exercise. The exercise is designed to improve interoperability between nations, increase readiness and develop professional relationships. The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
