A Watchful Eye (13950628398)
Summary
Mallards are one of the most common ducks in the Kulm Wetland Management District. They are found in puddles as small as a kiddie pool to wetlands that go on for miles. These ducks pair up in the fall, court throughout the winter, and mate in the spring. The hens have started nesting now in early May, and will lay between 8-10, up to 13 eggs, in a down-lined nest on the ground, which is hidden in the grass.
