Acanthamoeba polyphaga PHIL11892

This scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image revealed two Acanthamoeba polyphaga protozoa, as they were interacting through their pseudopodia, projecting from the surfaces of these organisms. These pseudopodia enable the amoebae to move about, and grasp objects in their environment, and in this case, to communicate with one another.
