JEFFERSON PARISH, La. - Coast Guard Adm. Thad W. Allen boards the Coast Guard Cutter Sturgeon to tour the Deepwater Horizon Response efforts in Barataria Bay in Grand Isle, June 18, 2010. Allen accompanied U.S. Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute and both were briefed on the response efforts and plans currently underway in Barataria Bay, including a three tiered plan to block three major passes and prevent further intrusion of oil into the bay.
