Cecil Haney, commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet, right, receives a briefing on capabilities and equipment at the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy's South Sea Fleet (SSF) Marine Corps 1st Brigade headquarters. Haney visited Zhanjiang as part of a wider introductory visit to China to meet with PLA officials to discuss issues of mutual concern and identify areas of further cooperation and coincides with a port visit by the guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67).
