Afghan Border Policemen and U.S. soldiers of C Company, 1st Battalion, 1-17 Infantry, Task Force Viper, clear a path with metal detectors to an orchard during Operation Southern Strike II, June 4, 2012. The purpose of this mission is to disrupt the cross border insurgent network and capture and destroy insurgent weapon and improvised explosive device caches stored in the Ganjitsu and Pasha networks.
