Summary
Afghan National Army and police attended the Regional Command-West transfer of authority April 4 in Herat, Afghanistan. RC-W, which is an Italian-led command, welcomed Brig. Gen. Carmine Masiello as he replaced Brig. Gen. Marcello Bellacicco as the RC-W commander. Afghan National Security Forces and RC-W leaders and troops have been working as partners to secure and develop western Afghanistan in order to provide peace and stability for Afghan civilians.
