Afghan National Army instructors observe as a group of officer candidates perform a team-building exercise at the Afghan National Army Officer Academy Oct. 23, 2013. The ANAOA has advisers from the British military including mentors from Norway, Denmark Australia and New Zealand. This inaugural group of cadets will graduate as officers next September with two more groups joining next year. The first female selection process will also take place in 2014.
