Afghan National Army soldiers with 215th Corps sweep
Summary
Afghan National Army soldiers with 215th Corps sweep for notional improvised explosive devices during a route clearance course at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Dec. 4, 2017. Led by U.S. advisors, the route clearance course is an eight-week training evolution designed to develop the counter-IED capabilities of engineer soldiers in preparation for future missions in Helmand province. By enhancing both their mounted and dismounted IED detection techniques, the soldiers improve mobility for troops on the battlefield and expand safety and security for local residents.
