Afghans came from near and far, braving the weather
Summary
Afghans came from near and far, braving the weather and their injuries, and wait in line before being searched by security to be seen at the Korean hospital at Bagram Air Field, Feb. 28. The hospital, funded by the Korean government and staffed by Afghan and Korean medical professionals alike, is host to roughly 120 patients a day for the five days a week it is open. Patients arrive at the hospital from as far as a two-day walk to receive the free medical treatment they cannot find in more rural areas.
