Aircraft rescue firefighters stand by to rescue the unconscious pilot during a training exercise at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, N.C., Sept. 14. In a real event, aircraft rescue firefighting can be very dangerous because the aircraft could blow up or the ordnance on board could detonate. Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 took the opportunity of a training exercise to work on firefighting in a safe and timely manner.
