Airman Edward Hughes, left, an aircrew survival equipmentman, and Petty Officer 1st Class Randi Zetterlund, an aircrew survival equipmentman, both assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81, assemble a joint helmet mounted cueing system in the squadron's aircrew survival equipment shop aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing 17 are underway conducting operations off the coast of southern California.
