AIRMAN First Class Michel Winters, 31st Security Forces Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy, wearing MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System) and carrying a Colt 5.56 mm M16A2 rifle, advances with his fire team to clear a near-by abandoned building. As part of Ground Combat Skills (GCS) training, the mission scenario is to move in and occupy a mock village, restore order and allow for peaceful elections.
