Description: The church was opened on 8 November, 1889 by Lady Norman, wife of the Governor of Queensland. The building is of brick, with facings, Gothic spire, and fence railings and top, of limestone from Oamaru, New Zealand. The site of the Albert Hall, built ca. 1902, is now occupied by the S.G.I.O. building.
