America at war – Victory in the AleutiansA contignent of U.S. Marines arrive at Adak Island in the Western Aleutians of the North Pacific to take part in the victorious Allied campaign against the Japanese in the area. An air bas was established at Adak to help drive the enemy from the sister Aleutian Islands of Kiska, Attu and Agattu.
