Port Gentil, Gabon (Feb. 10, 2007) American Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Katherine Dhanani (left), USS Kauffman (FFG 59) Commanding Officer, Cmdr. Chris Rhoden, and Commander Task Group 60.4, Commodore John Nowell, meet with Seraphin Ndoat (far right), mayor of Port Gentil. The meeting was part of the Kauffman's port visit. A task group comprised of USS Kauffman, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter USCG Legare (WMEC 912), and elements of the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa staff, is currently deployed to the Gulf of Guinea to strengthen Regional Maritime Partnerships.
