EAST CHINA SEA (Mar. 11, 2014) An AAV-7 amphibious assault vehicle prepares to enter the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU), is conducting joint force operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
