An MV-22B Osprey lands in Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 Feb. 13. The Osprey carried Brig. Gen. Frederick M. Padilla, commanding general, 3rd Marine Division to visit Marines from 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, which is attached to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, as part of the Marine Corps’ unit deployment program. The battalion is participating in the multinational Cobra Gold training exercise to improve interoperability and strengthen relations with partner nations in the Asia-Pacific region.
