Zoology.—The animals are studied in their habits oflife and their relations to their surroundings; for the ob-servation of the lower orders the microscope is used. Physiology.—The object of the course is to give thestudent a clear idea of the principal changes which takeplace during life in the organs and tissues of the healthybody; the anatomical and histological structure of thoseorgans and tissues will be explained as far as is neces-sary for a good understanding of their physiological func-tions.
