description

Summary

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and U.S. Service members participate in the “My Soldier, My Teacher” event at Wescom Elementary School, Palawan, Philippines, as part of Exercise Balikatan 2016, April 7, 2016. Balikatan, which means “shoulder-to-shoulder” in Filipino, is an annual bilateral exercise between the AFP and U.S. military that is committed to training, sharing information and providing support to each other through a range of military operations. The adeptness of the AFP and U.S. military working together, partnering in capabilities and planning follow-on operations is essential to the relationship and interoperability of our forces.
