Army Corps reopens Troy Lock after Tropical Storm Irene
Summary
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers crews work to clean debris from Troy Lock Sept. 2. Following Tropical Storm Irene, crews worked tirelessly to clear debris out of Troy Lock using heavy equipment to move larger pieces onto land for disposal and pikes to move smaller vegetative items into the Hudson River. The lock was reopened for marine traffic Sept. 12.
