Nederlands: Deze kaart van het oosten van het huidige Canada komt voor in vijf atlassen die Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) tussen 1662 en 1667 publiceerde. De kaart is deels gebaseerd op kaarten van de hydrograaf van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie, Hessel Gerritsz. en de Franse kartograaf Samuel de Champlain. Uit de titelcartouche blijkt hoe belangrijk de visserij voor dit gebied was.
English: This map of the east of the current Canada appears in five atlases published by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) between 1662 and 1667. The map is partly based on maps of the Dutch East India Company (VOC), Hessel Gerritsz. and the French cartographer Samuel de Champlain. From the title cartouche the importance of fishing for the area becomes clear.
