AUSTIN – (March. 20, 2017) During Navy Week Austin, San Antonio native, Vice Adm. Raquel Bono, director, Defense Health Agency toured the Navy’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) TOUR 1, the “Nimitz” featured at the Rodeo Austin and Stock Show. The Nimitz is a state of the art immersive experience, with a virtual reality mission, electronic data capture, and digital technology at every touch point. Austin Navy Week is the 2nd of 15 Navy Weeks in 2017 which focus a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel on a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects.
