Australian Military Leave Pass - WW1 (10740864836)

AIF leave pass dated from 10th October to 24th October 1918, for the purpose of proceeding to Edinburgh, granted to Private C. Gillard No.7717, of the 2nd Battalion.
I love finding something like this and then being able to locate further information about the person. For a family historian this would be a fantastic document to find.
Australian War Memorial records show #7717 Clarence Henry Neil Gillard was a 21 year old Draper from Cobargo in New South Wales. He embarked for overseas service on 19th December 1917.
He was wounded (gas poisoning) and invalided to the UK in August 1918. His records show that he was on leave from the 10th to the 24th October. He left England to return to Australia in January 1919.
