Avalon, N.J., Nov. 23, 2012 -- A portion of Ocean Drive near Townsend Inlet, will be closed for several months because surging tides, caused by Hurricane Sandy, broke through a seawall and undermined the roadway. Ocean Drive is a scenic drive build in the 1940's which links the barrier islands between Atlantic City and the Wildwoods. Steve Zumwalt/FEMA
