Basel, Universitätsbibliothek, AN II 6, f. 55r – Register of the Theological Faculty at the University of Basel, 1462-1740

Those wishing to study at the University of Basel, founded in 1460, had to enroll in the rector’s registry, take an oath of loyalty and obedience, pay the tuition fee and — only with this did the matriculation become valid — had to enroll in their faculty’s register. In addition to the entries made by the deans, the theological register of 1462-1740 contains the old as well as the new faculty statutes.
Deutsch: Wer an der 1460 gegründeten Basler Universität studieren wollte, hatte sich in die Rektoratsmatrikel einzutragen, einen Treue- und Gehorsamseid zu leisten, eine Studiengebühr zu entrichten und – erst damit wurde die Immatrikulation rechtsgültig – sich in die Matrikel seiner Fakultät einzuschreiben. Die theologische Matrikel von 1462-1740 enthält neben den von den Dekanen vorgenommenen Einträgen zudem die älteren wie die neuen Statuten der Fakultät.
Français : Pour étudier auprès de l’Université de Bâle fondée en1460, il fallait s’inscrire dans la matricule du rectorat, prêter serment de fidélité et d’obéissance, verser une taxe d’étude et s’inscrire dans la matricule de sa porpre faculté –ce dernier point étant indispensable à la validation de l’immatriculation. La matricule de théologie de 1462-1740 contient, en plus des entrées faites par les doyens, aussi bien les anciens que les nouveaux statuts de la faculté.
Italiano: Per studiare presso la facoltà di Basilea fondata nel 1460, occorreva iscriversi nella matricola del rettorato, prestare un giuramento di fedeltà ed obbedienza, versare una tassa studentesca e - solo a quel punto l'immatricolazione era valida – iscriversi nella matricola della propria facoltà. La matricola di teologia del 1462-1740 contiene, oltre alle registrazioni fatte dai decani, sia gli statuti antichi che quelli nuovi della facoltà.
